Images Tabloids used of Riots

These pictures highlight the common perception given by the tabloids and broadsheets.

The generalised idea is that of outright rebellion against authority and an excuse to cause destruction. These pictures clearly highlight the idea of undesired youth culture, portraying the typical idea of sub-cultures with hoodies and mindless mayhem. Most photo's/images used contain some reference to students (ie. 'Stop Fee's' banners), which gives a visual representation of youth cause.

Another common idea presented is the idea of police being in the right, and the protestors being in the wrong. Although this is normally the case, it does not allow the idea of police brutality and stereotyping to be brought up on the students/youth side. This in turn creating a bias view of which the youth voice is skewed and distorted.
